Learning the Russian Language.

It started back in 2013 when my son decided to take an entry level Russian language class at college.  I told him I’d take it with him just out of general interest.  He dropped the class but I trudged on learning the cyrillic alphabet, the grammar and felt my middle-aged brain build new neural networks (along with a few headaches) for midterms and pop quizzes.  But it was the weekly reports the students gave on the history, food, culture — anything Russian that made me fall in love with this mysterious and captivating land of czars, caviar and snow.

Russian Script

I failed this part of the class.  Early on I realized my Russian cursive was poor therefore I made the executive decision to spend my valuable time on grammar, report writing and sampling the fine Russian cuisine! ๐Ÿ™‚

Books

Here’s a sampling of some of the research materials for the book.  To the right is my helper, my ะšะพั‚, or cat, Jimmy.

Homework

I made up for my poor penmanship by doing extra credit such as this crossword puzzle.
